We only plan on getting better both as a business and a community leader. As we get better, we will also grow. We’re making moves in the community, and we’re being recognized for it. You should see what others are saying about Alura right now! We’re excited for the future, and also excited to bring the news to all of our readers nationwide.
President and CEO Jason Derstine Featured in “40 Under 40” List
The “40 Under 40” Award is sponsored by Philadelphia Business Journal, and is dedicated to individuals that have displayed outstanding achievements and exceptional work ethic between 2014 and 2015. They honor 40 individuals under the age of 40 from all industries throughout the region, and explain exactly why they’re on the list. The list is a great reference for individuals and businesses looking to hire only the most qualified individuals to accommodate their needs. Managed IT services are no exception.
Derstine is very active in the community and prides himself on his philanthropy. He is very active in the LGBT community and fights for civil rights and equality in America. The Journal attributes Derstine with being extremely active in several educational scholarship committees related to the LGBT community. In addition to this, Derstine is a member of the Independence Business Alliance. However, this wasn’t all that Philadelphia Business Journal recorded.
Derstine has donated well over $30,000 to different charitable organizations over the course of the last four years. One nominator for the awards said, “His willingness to help the community and contribute both company and personal funds to events goes far above what I have seen working in other small business environments.” In the past, Derstine has helped the community with both personal and business funds.
Philadelphia Business Journal also recognizes that we’ve grown significantly in a relatively short period of time. The Journal recognizes that we have over 10 team members and bring in $2.5 million in revenue. We’ve told the Business Journal that we’re anticipating revenue growth of 30% this year. We’ve got big things planned for the future, and Philadelphia Business Journal recognizes this by naming our Jason Derstine one of their “40 Under 40.”
Our Vice President, Ryan Rosenkaimer Featured as One of Philadelphia’s Top IT Pros
Our entire support and service staff are something to boast about. Every year, we get better and learn more so that our clients are never left in the dust. We understand how much the technological world grows every year, and we understand that technology eventually becoming obsolete is almost completely unavoidable. Our Vice President, Ryan Rosenkaimer is one of many behind the magic of our teamwork, and we’re proud to say Philadelphia Business Journal recognizes him as one of the Philly area’s top IT professionals.
Rosenkaimer has gone to great lengths with the team at Alura to create a completely new, automatic support and reporting system that really increases the response speeds of our technical support teams. Sometimes through his system, we can contact a client before something becomes a serious issue. He also worked to create a cutting-edge system to comprehensively monitor and manage our clients’ devices of all kinds; smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and anything in between.
With the hard work of Ryan and the rest of our team, we’re able to stay on top of 99% of our clienteles’ system and hardware issues and fix them before they become catastrophes. The Philadelphia Business Journal recognizes just how exceptional this achievement is and they honor him by adding him to their Top IT Professionals List.
Our Mission for the Future
